If you're considering working with an interior designer but aren’t sure where to begin, you're not alone. I’ve made my process simple, collaborative, and fun - so you feel supported and inspired every step of the way!
Simplified Step-by-Step Onboarding Process
Here’s how the process works when you work with me at Interiors by Julia:
Fill Out the Request Form via Our Website
Our request form is located at the bottom portion of our website on every page, as well as under our “Contact” page
We keep it brief - just fill out your name, email, what service you’re interested in, and your estimated project budget!
Email Follow-Up + Discovery Call
We will review your request form, and reach out within a few days to schedule a time for a discovery call
During this call we will dive into your project goals, design style, and timeline
This call typically takes no more than 15-30 minutes, and it helps us determine if we will be a good fit for your project!
In-Home Consultation
After the call, we will schedule a time for an in-home consult! (a deposit is required to reserve your consultation)
During this visit, we will walk through your space together and discuss all the project details
I will provide an estimated timeline based on your project needs and how far we are booked out!
Proposal + Timeline & Estimate
After our in-home consult, I will send over a customized proposal with estimated hours, costs, and a general timeline
Upon your approval of the proposal, I will send over a more detailed Scope of Work, along with my contracts
You’ll review + sign to move forward!
Project Kickoff!
Now the design work begins - I will start developing the necessary designs, sourcing, and executing the design process!
You can expect weekly check-ins for project communication via text or email *whichever you prefer*
How Clients Can Help the Process Go Smoothly
Most of my clients already have a design vision and know what they want - but there are plenty who don’t! It’s important for me to have your design style, vision and goals up front! Here are some ways you can help speed up the initial design process:
Send me all your inspiration—Pinterest boards, screenshots, saved Instagram posts, etc.
Be open about your lifestyle and how you want the space to feel—not just look
The more you share upfront, the more personal and tailored your final design will be!
