Hello! I’m Julia — the founder and designer at Interiors by Julia LLC.

My passion for interior design started early when I was a kid, I was constantly rearranging and redecorating my bedroom, drawn to the idea of creating a beautiful and functional space. That passion only grew stronger over the years. In high school, I was enrolled into an “Intro to Interior Design” course, which set me on the path to pursuing formal education in the field. I earned degrees in both Interior Design and Kitchen & Bath Design from Fox Valley Technical College.

After college, I gained hands-on experience working for a contractor, where I was involved in the design process for a variety of residential new builds and remodels. Over time, I realized I wanted to be more hands on with the homeowners and the overall design process, and that’s how Interiors by Julia was born!

One of the most exciting parts of my own design journey has been renovating our 1800s-era home from the ground up. It’s been such a rewarding experience to blend modern functionality with its original charm. My partner’s skills in woodworking and the renovation process has added a valuable dimension to the process, giving me even deeper insight into the world of design and construction.

I took my love for interior design and turned it into my full time job. I believe the spaces in your life should be a reflection of you, your personality, lifestyle, and story - and I’m here to help bring that vision to life. Whether it’s a new build, renovation, or a simple room refresh, I strive to create spaces that feel and function just as beautifully as they look.
